Shampooches was first established in April 2018, starting very early on as a mobile in-house dog groomers. In May 2018, we created a one-to-one salon in Talia’s home. Today, we work from a fully converted vehicle with state of the art equipment, to cater to breeds of all sizes and groom requirements.
Who Are We?
Hi I’m Talia…
Nice to meet you! My name is Talia and I am the senior groomer and owner of Shampooches.
My story, funnily enough, I got into dog grooming on a whim. In 2017, one of my sisters had started dog walking and as I share her love of animals, it got me thinking of what I could do within that field. After a quick look into courses in my area, I found a dog grooming course at Brinsbury college, however it was starting the following week. Completely un-expecting to get on at such short notice, I applied and before I knew it, I had a letter of acceptance. From this point on, everything relating to my career as a dog groomer seemed to fall into place like dominos.
18 months later, I achieved my level 3 City & Guilds qualification from Brinsbury College. I have always been keen to further my knowledge within both dog grooming and business management, so in 2019, I spent a year completing an ‘Exploring Enterprise’ course with The Prince’s Trust, where I gained an abundance of information on how to run my own business. To this day I regularly attend networking events, dog shows, seminars and most recently, in early 2024, I spent 6 weeks studying at Starwood Arts of Dog Grooming school in Thailand, graduating in Asian Fusion & Creative Colouring Grooming. Every 3 years I attend and complete a ‘First Aid For Dogs’ refresher course to ensure that I can look after your dogs to the highest standard, even when the unexpected happens.

Now to more recently…back in November 2022, I put Shampooches on pause in order to fulfil my dream of travelling South East Asia and Australia. In my spare time whilst living in Australia, I planned every aspect of Shampooches relaunch in preparation for my return. This saw the redesign of my logo, arranging the van layout and even having meetings with different web designers, graphic designers and accountants – all from 10,000 miles away!
I am so excited for the future of Shampooches and look forward to helping people and pooches with their grooming needs. I’m pleased to be able to bring my dog grooming services to you, hopefully making many people’s lives easier, whether they are elderly, less abled or would simply benefit from having a mobile groomer.
